Ros Johnson and college Tom Brader embark on an ambitious project to restore a historic railway building built in 1839. The building predates York's current station and is thought to be the oldest standing railway building internationally. Having stood unloved for 20 years the two York based artists have given a new lease of life to this beautiful building, providing long term affordable studio premises for a number of local artists. The two are supported by York Civic Trust and The Railway Buildings Heritage Charity. On a long term mission to secure appropriate funding and fully restore building to architectural glory.
